Following the fire-dancers
Back from another reading, this time in Austin where I appeared at a benefit for Helping Other People Everywhere, at Pine Street Station. Best part of the evening was the fire-dancers, a guy and two girls who were jumping around to the sounds of the Bee Gees, waving firebrands and rolling burning hula-hoops. It'd be fun to incorporate something like that into my performance, but would anyone then pay attention to me? Not likely. Sadly. I might not even pay attention to myself....
