My Desk c. 1984
After house-sitting I went and stayed for a bit with my grandparents in Cox's Mills. This was my room in the basement. The good old Smith-Corona. Backstage passes to remind me of my real life and to inspire my writing. A wind-up alarm clock. A bouillon box filled with paperclips. The usual necessary clipboard. Glue, for some reason. A jambox so I could listen to rock'n'roll. On the shelf: James Michener, Dorothy Parker, the Personal Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant, and others I can't quite make out.
